CHALLENGE:

A Fortune 100 Consulting Group was looking to build a greenfield net-zero facility with a large industrial load and to evaluate multiple potential locations.

Given the large facility load, the client needed a mixture of on-site generation and an IPP/PPA.

SOLUTION:

XENDEE simultaneously modeled both in front of the meter and behind the meter assets as separate technologies within the same model. Additional variable costs for IPP service margin, as well as necessary infrastructure upgrade capital costs were all factored into the modeling.

RESULTS:

For each potential site location considered, XENDEE generated an optimal technology mix (behind the meter and in-front of the meter) that met net-zero and load requirements while minimizing costs.

The analysis provided a robust view of the shared and individual benefits accrued to the client and the IPP.
