Utility rates peak after the sun goes down, so they believed that adding a battery would be beneficial, but didn't know how to quantify that benefit to provide a service that delivers value to their customer, and a return to their business.
Using the Xendee software platform, the client was able to model the existing solar with a new battery.
Xendee's minimum cost and multi-year optimization was able to quantify the value the battery would provide over the full PPA period, taking into account the degradation and increasing utility costs.
The optimized results clearly indicated the value of adding a battery, and the costs to provide that solution. This allowed the client to prepare an EaaS quote to ensure the necessary return would be achieved in order to get the project financed and approved.
They were then able to communicate positive results to both their customer and their financier.
