International Energy Services Developer

International Energy Services Developer

Challenge:

A large energy services developer was looking to provide resilient backup for their customer's pharmaceutical facility.

The facility had 2 buildings, each with solar, but a shared battery and fuel cell. The fuel cell and battery needed to support a 24 hour outage across both buildings.

Solution:

Using Xendee, the client was able to model the existing solar, a forced Bloom 300 fuel cell, and size the battery around the other assets to support both facilities.

Xendee's outage modeling specified a 24 hour outage at the most difficult time of year as a requirement for the solution.

Results:

Using Xendee, a design was produced that could support the buildings loads with the existing solar, through the outage.

Furthermore, the optimized annual dispatch allowed the client to understand the expected operation of the entire kit, and the projected impact on future utility bills.
